The North Richmond
Neighborhood House
Mural
Project.
The NRNH mural project began in February of 2003 as a community service project of the Ford
Assembly Plant Partners and artist Harold Beaulieu.
The art program is held each day after school at the York Street facility in North Richmond.
The program started with simple confidence building activities designed to demonstrate the creative abilities in each of us.
The activities were all
designed around Visual Art Content Standards for California Public Schools, California State
Board
of Education.
The completed mural will
be hung in a highly visible public location. This communicates to
students the importance
of their contribution to
the
community.
