and repaint the curb as part of the Keep

North Richmond Beautiful campaign. 

Later in the day, residents help children from

the neighborhood adds a butterfly mural to

the side of the building.

Why Butterflies ???

Butterflies are a universal symbol of

transformation and that transformation is

occurring in North Richmond.

Along with their beauty, butterflies do not

 sting, do not carry disease, and pollinate

 important human food crops.
